Arlene M. Jackson   Arlene Mechele Jackson is the President of the FaithWorks Compton board of directors. Ms. Jackson currently works for South Central Los Angeles Regional Center for the developmentally disabled as a Program Manager for seventeen years. She currently oversees a unit of fifteen Service Coordinators. In her role as Program Manager she ensures that services are provided in accordance to State and Federal laws. Ms. Jackson also provides oversight for a multimillion dollar annual budget.  Arlene Jackson is an Alumna of Alabama A&M University where she received a Bachelors degree in English and Political Science in 1992. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in family and community conflict. Ms. Jackson is a certified mediator and holds a non-profit management certification.  Ms. Jackson holds active memberships in several community/public service organizations. Ms. Jackson is an active member of Faith Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church, where she is a former member of the Board of Christian Education and currently sings with the Praise and Worship Team. She is a past unit president for the Birney Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA); Vice President for the B2B Board of Directors; Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Member of Phi Beta Kappa national honor society and a Charter Member of the 1913 Toastmaster Club.

Prior to joining the labor movement, for over a decade she utilized her undergraduate degree in Managerial Accounting and Finance and worked as a finance professional for large and small companies.    Ms. Igwealor is a graduate of Whittier Law School and licensed real estate broker in the State of California. She is also recent graduate of the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute where she received an intensive and comprehensive training to prepare women for corporate advancement, to run for elective office, manage political campaigns, seek government appointments, understand public policy decision-making, and sharpen leadership skills.    Jenita is an active participant in her local community and passionate about civic engagement.

Ms. Creighton is employed with the United States Postal Service. Her hobbies include observing nature while hiking, bowling, and being a positive force towards motivating her nieces and nephews’ studies and sporting activities. Ms. Creighton doubles as a sous chef in a local bakery in her spare time. Hansel G. Harris   Hansel has a background in marketing, design and community advocacy. She is motivational speaker, former talk show host on JoyNet Radio. As a vegan chef and alternative food consultant teaching people to “ change your diet to change your life”.

Janay Jones   Janay Jones is over the Youth Entrepreneurial Programs for FaithWorks Compton. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, Janay discovered her passion of empowering and advocating for those within vulnerable populations through volunteering. Currently, Janay is pursuing her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California.    Ms. Jones is a Youth Leader at Faith Inspirational Missionary Baptist church, where she currently leads the “Kingdom Kids” ministry.

Bridget Y. Horan   Bridget Y. Horan serves on the board of directors of FaithWorks Compton. Ms. Horan is the owner/operator of a small woman-owned consulting firm with over 30 years of experience working in the utility sector for Southern California Edison (SCE) and Verizon, where she supported executive leadership bridge gaps with community leaders, elected officials, and regulatory bodies. Bridget spent ten years working for Los Angeles County Superior Courts and served as a community/employee liaison.  Bridget Horan is a PhD candidate in the studies of Organizational Leadership with the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She holds an MBA, Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Certificate in Project Management from the University of Irvine, California. Ms. Horan is a certified corporate diversity and inclusion facilitator.  Ms. Horan has served on several community executive boards throughout Los Angeles County, including serving SCE’s corporate resource/affinity group executive board. Ms. Horan is an active member of Faith Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church. Bridget has volunteered countless of hours serving disadvantaged communities. Bridget enjoys the arts, playing the piano, roller skating, and walks on the beach!
